As fall inches closer, we’re caught between wishing for an endless summer full of cotton shifts and jorts and that seasonal desire to wear a jacket already.
Thankfully, Les Morceaux, a surprisingly affordable, Los Angeles-based jewelry line, resolves the tension.
Designer Joanne Tagorda’s light, bare-bones aesthetic works well in scorching temps, while the darker palette and oxidized metals make the fall transition easy. The de rigueur chain necklace is recast with interesting finishes, link shapes, and (dis)continuities. Two standouts: copper-finish oval links split by a tangled steel section and a style comprising three chains (matte black, gunmetal, and copper-finish steel) of different lengths.
Pendants skew geometric (brilliant dangling copper rectangles as pictured, gridded triangles in antiqued brass), while the only real volume comes from jersey wrap bracelet-necklace hybrids with intertwined chains.
Available online at les-morceaux.com, $28-$46.
