Whether you’re a Southern Belle, Woman of the West, Edgy East Coaster, or Gal of the Great Lakes, chances are you think your region is the best. Here to settle the matter once and for all: Bayer® and March of Dimes’® Girlfriends for Folate (GFF) national competition.
First the backstory: folate. Lots of women just aren’t getting enough (at least 400 micrograms daily¹) of the B vitamin that helps produce and maintain cells. When women take folate before and during the early months of pregnancy, it reduces the risk of certain serious birth defects of the spine or brain (also known as neural tube defects or NTDs). So in hopes of increasing national awareness, Bayer and March of Dimes have launched the GFF campaign.
Become a GFF in your region now (all it takes is one Facebook click), and Bayer will give $1, up to $25,000, to March of Dimes March for Babies®, the organization’s largest fundraiser that aims to improve the health of babies. If your region wins with the most GFFs, celeb Vanessa Minnillo will be crowned leader of your local March for Babies.
So go ahead. Show America how your region represents.
