HOW ACCURATE IS A CHOLESTEROL TEST DONE BY FINGER STICK?

Question by scyrocco:
How accurate is a cholesterol test done by finger stick?

I did a residence test where I picked my finger and mailed it in, and the final results had been quite surprising. 7 years ago (age 23) my cholesterol was superb and now it seems to be really high. I eat great and exercising frequently. Could the test be flawed, or are genetics catching up with me?

Nicely, this depends. Generally, the finger stick tests are made to be very correct. To be sure, just go and do a lab test, right after fasting for at least 8 hours.

In situation you have familiar history of high cholesterol, possibly this is the time when the difficulties spring out. Just continue with the very good life you are conducting. Go over with your doctor if you want to begin off any medication therapy.

The moment once more go on with your great eating habits and exercise and try some herbs extracts to lower your cholesterol before shifting to medications.

Very good luck!
