Chemistry Report
Hypothesis: Stewart & Claire balms, made in small batches by a duo including one Food & Wine editor, provide superlative relief to chapped winter lips.
Experimental equation: Organic ingredients + essential and botanical-infused oils + so-good-you-want-to-eat-them combinations - the waxy, sticky finish = moisturizing bliss.
Results: Purists worship Bare, an unscented soother made with rose hip seed oil. SAD sufferers feel instant comfort with tropical Tiki (notes of coconut, citrus). Flirts slick on seasonally appropriate Winter, inspired by Mexican hot chocolate and scented with warming cinnamon, to heighten under-the-mistletoe kisses. And hoarders rejoice for the three-balm gift boxes.
Addendum: Through the end of the month, 50¢ from each balm sold benefits GrowNYC’s fund providing relief to upstate New York farmers affected by Hurricane Irene.
Further tests: No additional lip service necessary.
